Good stuff . One of my favorite albums as a kid was Double Live Gonzo and at the time I had no idea Hibernation and Great White Buffalo were Amboy Dukes tunes .

This is probably the most underrated NWOBHM compilation ever, everyone talks about Metal For Muthas etc, but not this. Some b'stard stole my copy (with my equally superb Scene Of The Crime compilation) and I've never been able to track it down either on vinyl (without a massively inflated eBay price!) or CD, so I'm so glad you've put it on here!!

The Amboy Dukes were totally awesome. Such a killer tight band and with Uncle Ted rocking out that guitar just that much better. Listen to their older stuff all the time yet with a super young Uncle Ted plus all the solo stuff afterwards. Incredible!

But on a deeper level, his quote harkens back to this very album. The album cover is done in a font called “Mystical.” 🤯 Now you know. Nugent rocks!!! 🎶❤️

Found out that Steeltower was the pre-band of Heaven's Gate and finally decided to listen to them, and man what can I say this totally delivers, like old Heaven's Gate, and I just love Thomas Rettke's Vocals; he has the same fabulous high pitched scream just like on the 1st 2 Heaven's Gate albums, which are also fantastic. Don't be put off by the lame looking cover; remember: Don't judge a Book by its Cover, or as Lemmy put it: Don't judge a Book by its Cover, Baby I'm a real good lover" from Ace of Spades (I believe), lol. If you liked the first 2 Heaven's Gate albums, then this is almost just as good, already way back in 1984 !

I am sitting her with the drummer of Tortured Dog, Matt Maggott! He showed me this album and I love it! Definitely some great behind the scenes stories from this era. Cheers.
